Ermo is a hard-working woman living in a village with her much older husband and a 7-year old son, Tiger. The husband is an ex-village chief. Despite the fact that he was sacked a long time ago (due to an undiagnosed illness which renders him too weak for hard labour), people still call hirn chief. Ermo supports the family by making twisted noodles and selling them in the village. Her next-door neighbour offers to drive her into town in his truck so that she can sell her wares for a better price. He is married to a fat woman who does nothing but eat, sleep and watch television, Jealous of her easy life, her TV and possibly her good husband, Ermo secretly poisons the woman's pigs...
