Engelchen (Little Angel)

Edition 1997
90' - 1996 - Drama, Romance - Dialogue: German
Director: Helke Misselwitz With: Susanne Lothar, Cezary Pazura, Sophie Rois, Herbert Fritsch, Kathrin Angere
At a railroad station in Berlin the Polish cigarette smuggler Andrzej spontaneously hugs a girl during a police raid, pretending they are a couple. However, this unexpected kiss causes Ramona to develop deeper feelings for Andrzej. They start an affair, and soon Ramona gets pregnant. When she loses her baby she conceals her miscarriage from Andrzej. Cold-bloodedly she steals someone else’s baby… A gripping, downbeat film about a hyper-sensitive woman, brilliantly performed by Suzanne Lothar.
