A Canadian/ Armenian photographer travels together with his wife to Armenia to make photos for a calendar of twelve historic churches. A guide explains the history of each location. The photographer returns to Canada without his wife who remained in Armenia. Over the course of a calendar year, the photographer tries to write a number of letters to his estranged wife. He also invites a number of women to his house: he finds that the presence of these 'guests' helps him write his letters...
