Ming Ghost tells the story, just as the famous film Rashomon by Kurosawa does, of a murder in a deserted forest. The lifeless body of a man, Wu, is discovered by a huge tree. Ah Ving, his young wife is found raped and unconscious in a stable. Three men, a market !rader, a policeman and a villain are arrested. Each of !hem is heard and also Ah Ving gives her versiĆ³n of what happened. Needless to say that they all teil a different story. This film is a demonstration of the craftsmanship of the Taiwanese film industry, a costume drama in grand style.
