“Film Magic” Workshop | 11:00 | Ages 7–12 | Film Fest Café
Movies are magic. When magician Georges Méliès walked into the Lumière brothers’ very first film screening, he knew right away: he simply had to get to work with this marvelous invention. But like any good illusionist, the Lumières didn’t just give away their secrets. It took Méliès a year to unravel the mystery of the movie camera, thereby opening the door to a world full of vanishing acts, doppelgangers, trips to the moon, and effects. Step into the magical world of the film pioneers and become a master of cinematic sorcery yourself.
