Wildwood

When Mac, Prue McKeel’s younger brother, is kidnapped by a murder of crows, she refuses to sit idly by. Together with her somewhat clumsy classmate Curtis, she ventures into the forbidden forest outside Portland to search for Mac. Their journey soon proves to be far more complex than a simple rescue mission. Wildwood is a hidden world full of talking animals, people with magical powers and dangerous enemies. The Dowager Alexandra once ruled the forest benevolently. But, caught in a downward spiral of grief, she has succumbed to evil. This heightens the danger for Prue and Curtis. Laika, the studio behind stop-motion animation gems such as Coraline and Kubo and the Two Strings, delivers another smash hit with Wildwood, backed by a brilliant star-studded cast (Carey Mulligan, Awkwafina, Tom Waits, and others). An animated film for adults and older children, though not suitable for the very youngest.
