Weekly film in Sphinx Cinema

Every year you can watch a multitude of films in the Belgian theaters, but there are still striking films that do not receive a regular cinema release here. One Shot Cinema, an initiative of Film Fest Ghent and Sphinx Cinema, fills that gap by putting an unreleased film on the program every month.

UPDATE: To prevent the further spread of COVID-19, Film Fest Ghent cancels all the One Shot Cinema titles that were planned for the summer. We investigate if we can organize these activities later in the year. We'll keep you up to date. The preparations for the 47th edition of the festival (13> 24 October 2020) are continuing unabated.

A large number of film titles have already been screened in the past five years: from the controversial Scientology documentary 'Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief' and the festival topper 'Tangerine' to 'The Tribe', winner of the Explore Award 2014. All impressive film titles that deserve to be seen on a large screen.
