Due to an unforeseen medical condition, John Barry cannot be present in Ghent to accept the Lifetime Achievement Award. He has asked colleague David Arnold to accept the Award in his place, thus making the Bond circle complete as Barry has composed the score for the first Bond films and Arnold for the most recent (five) films.
In the name of the Ghent Film Festival, Jacques Dubrulle and Marian Ponnet have wished John Barry good health.
