Film Fest Ghent and Courtisane join forces again in 2021Film News

After a successful collaboration in 2020, Film Fest Ghent and Courtisane - FFG's little Ghent-based festival brother - will join forces for the upcoming festival edition as well. Contrary to last year, when the joint forces focused on bringing the Portuguese director Pedro Costa to Ghent for his drama Vitalina Varela, the entire festival programme of the adventurous film festival will now run parallel to Film Fest Ghent in October 2021.

Film Fest Gent to close 45th edition with 'Beautiful Boy' by Felix van Groeningen

The film 'Beautiful Boy' by Felix van Groeningen with Timothée Chalamet and Steve Carell will be the closing film of the 45th edition of Film Fest Gent. The film will have its Belgian premiere on October 19th at the festival, preceded by the presentation of the official festival awards, in the presence of the international festival jury and director Felix van Groeningen. ANNOUNCING FIRST ROUND OF PROGRAM AND COMPOSERS FOR THE 16th WORLD SOUNDTRACK AWARDS

The 16th edition of the World Soundtrack Awards shines the spotlight on television scores, showcasing the music from the most beloved television shows in recent history. Brussels Philharmonic and the Flemish Radio Choir will perform the scores from series including Fargo, Homeland, House of Cards, Sherlock and The Leftovers with composers JEFF RUSSO, SEAN CALLERY, JEFF BEAL, DAVID ARNOLD and MAX RICHTER in attendance. For the first time, the World Soundtrack Awards will feature two concert programs: the World Soundtrack Awards Gala – the traditional award ceremony and concert – on October 19th and a second WSA Concert without ceremony on October 20th.
