A documentary about the real John Wojtowicz, portrayed by Al Pacino in the film classic 'Dog Day Afternoon'. The documentary retraces his life and his attempt to rob a Brooklyn bank to pay for his lover's sex change operation. This film took 11 years to make and many of the people interviewed died before it was completed, as did John Wojtowicz himself.
