Film Fest Gent - Kamikaze 1989
Archived: Kamikaze 1989 (1982)

director: Wolf Gremm

composer: Edgar Froese
With: Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Günther Kaufmann, Boy Gobert, a.o.

duration: 106 minutes

Gremm's film is littered with early '80s Eurotrash staples. Lots of liquor, half-naked women populate several scenes, and a fantastic score from Tangerine Dream's Edgar Froese sets the tone for a film that never is what you expect it to be. (...) The result is an action-packed film noir that is equal parts Night and the City, Café Flesh, with touches of Mad Max. - Screen Anarchy
