This animated film tells two stories: that of a boy who falls in love with the disembodied voice of a girl he often delivers to on his pizza routes and that of his disembodied hand, that roams the streets of Paris in search of its owner. This absurd juxtapositioning of the romantic aspirations of the boy and the frantic voyage of its hand, weaves together a gentle, and moving picture of hurt, loss and mourning. While the boy's perspective of the film may show the Paris we are used to seeing on the screen, it's the hand's tale that opens up a new perspective, the one from the gutter, close to the ground, the grub and the downtrodden dirt.
