Over the years, Hungary has produced the most innovative films of the former Soviet states, but how about their current films? Film Fest Gent offers you the best: dramas about family secrets and unprocessed traumas, but also thrillers about a bank robber and a serial killer.
In order to offer visitors to the festival a broad view of current Hungarian cinema, Film Fest Gent has selected 5 non-competing short films. Four shorts are brand new, but 'Ouverture' by János Vadász will also be screened, the short that won him a Golden Palm and was nominated for an Oscar in 1965.
