Adam is 27 years old, writes a radio program and enjoys life. Until the day he is diagnosed with a rare form of spinal cancer. Young Adam doesn’t have much choice and decides to start chemotherapy and fight for his life. With the help of his best friend Kyle, his mom Diane and the attractive young therapy student Katie, Adam learns about the things that truly matter in life. Joseph ‘Inception’ Gordon-Levitt is most charming as Adam, while Seth Rogen, the famous comedian from “Knocked Up” and “Superbad”, displays a daring ammount of funny remarks and actions. Jonathan Levine stepped into the spotlight in 2006 with “All The Boys Love Mandy Lane”, his personal interpretation of the slasher film. This film, based on screenwriter Will Reiser’s personal experiences, again proves the director’s headstrong character, as it turns out to be one of the first cancer comedies that dares to go beyond the boundaries of taboo and uncomfort. Cancer is a terrible disease, but it’s often said that laughter is the best medicine.
