Shorts - Competition for Belgian student Shorts

All students from film schools in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels can enter the competition. A professional jury will reward the best entry with the Film Fest Gent Award for Best Belgian Student Short, a prize worth €5,000. The audience can vote as well: you'll decide who wins the ACE Image Factory Public Choice Award.

Frédéric Cornet is artistic and managing director at Cinema Galeries in Brussel and co-coordinates the Palastine with Love film festival in collaboration with BOZAR.
Gilles Coulier made three shorts for which he was selected at numerous film festivals, including Cannes. In 2017, he finished his first feature film 'Cargo'.
Elli Mastorou has been working as a freelance film critic and covers the Cannes, Berlin and Venice film festivals.
Anthony Nti won the Public Choice and Jury Award at Film Fest Gent 2016 for his short 'Boi'. Nti also directs music videos for a.o. TheColorGrey.
Niels Putman is chief editor at Kortfilm. be. He also coordinates Short Film Conference and assists International Short Film Festival Leuven in their official selection.
Elke Vanoost is a young film maker based in Brussels. In 2017, she graduated from LUCA School of Arts Brussels. Last year, her film 'Croisé' won the Public Choice Award for Best Student Short.
