Become a Young Festival Photographer

Are you a photography student? We are looking for creative and talented people with a sharp eye, who want to capture the 48th edition of Film Fest Ghent.

Film Fest Ghent is a meeting place for filmmakers and the public. The festival organises premieres, film screenings, galas, concerts, talk shows and Q&As. Thanks to the fantastic work of our photographers, the memories of each festival edition continue to live on.

Would you like to use your vision and photographic eye to capture our international guests and visitors during the upcoming festival? Do not hesitate to apply for this internship.

How do I apply?

  • What does Film Fest Ghent have to offer?
    • You join the communications team of Film Fest Ghent.
    • You develop your skills as a photographer.
    • You can count on coaching by the Film Fest Ghent team and our professional photographers.
    • You will receive an accreditation and access to all festival screenings (which are outside your assignments).
    • Film Fest Ghent puts camera material at your disposal.
    • Catering is provided by the festival.
  • How can you apply?
    • Send us a set of three portraits that show us how you would like to photograph our guests.
    • Write a motivation letter (max. 500 words) and send it along with your CV.
  • What is the deadline to apply?

    Applications must be submitted by 15 July 2021 at the latest. The selected Young Festival Photographers will be invited for an introduction during the last week of July.

  • When does the internship run?

    The internship runs in August, September and October 2021. The exact start and end date can be discussed.
