As a professional partner of the ICSS project (International Creative Soundtrack Studies), Film Fest Gent collaborates in the developement of a joint programme in music composition for audiovisual media entitled "InMICS".
The International Master in Composition for Screen (InMICS) is a brand-new master’s degree programme, created by a partnership of European and Canadian higher artistic education institutions and organisations in the eld of audiovisual creation.
Aimed at international students who wish to work as composers for audiovisual media, this two-year-programme offers students the chance to improve their skills, share their talents and develop their own personality and project within an international and professional environment. InMICS will educate composers who will be highly skilled as well as individual, creative, critically aware, innovative and professional in their approach. By training students with these attributes InMICS wishes to best prepare them to shape tomorrow’s cultural industries.
ICSS (International Creative Soundtrack Studies) is a strategic partnership, which aim is to develop this master. It is funded with support from the Erasmus + programme for a three year period (from September, 1st 2014 to August, 31st 2017). This partnership is composed of 4 Higher Education institutions known for their expertise in music composition for audiovisual media and 4 professional partners specialized in the film music industry and showing a great interest in music creation.
